Warsop Club was formed in 1972 by 12 founder members, all of whom lived and worked in the local area. Over the past 44 years the Club has grown to have 45 members in 2016.
The Club is very active in the Community and has a good relationship with the local Rotary Club. Each year a new president is chosen and for 2018-19 our President will be Ruth Riches.
The President has a Committee whose posts usually run for three years. In the committee we have a secretary, social secretary, almoner, treasurer, club correspondent, vice president, international officer and two committee members. A Past President also sits on the Committee. The Immediate Past President also forms part of the committee.
Our annual charter (our birthday if you like) is always held on the first Wednesday of November. We invite other clubs in District 22 to come and celebrate our year with us.
Every year we are actively involved in the Warsop Carnival and host a wide range of charitable fundraising events ourselves. These activities range from fashion shows, to flower arranging, coffee morning with stalls, evening entertainment events, walks, speakers – the list is endless and we are always open to new suggestions.
We also have a very strong international arm to the Club, as does every other Inner Wheel Club. We support local, National and International charities by holding charitable events and fabulous knit and natter sessions.
